Following the Signs of the Universe Isn’t Always Sunshine and Rainbows

Ah, the signs, the angel numbers, the synchronicities… they are everywhere.  The Universe is constantly communicating with you through many different signs.  Sometimes we ask for signs, and only then do we actively look for them.  But most of the time, we are not even aware that the Universe is guiding us every step of the way, every second of our life.  We brush off extraordinary things as coincidences.  We make excuses for the most obvious signs.  But really, the Universe is always communicating with you.  The Universe is always guiding you toward your greatest purpose in life.  You just have to follow the lead.

To follow the subtle signs of the Universe allows us to lead an intuitive life.  One that is in tune with our higher-self.  One that listens to the divine whispers of the soul.  One that unlocks the infinite answers within us.  If we listen to our intuition, if we follow the signs of the Universe, we will be guided to our greatest human expression.  The signs are everywhere, waiting to be noticed.  That being said, the Universe doesn’t always guide us down the easiest road… or so it seems.

Because we are so out of tune with the subtle signs of the Universe, we sometimes receive what I like to call, a giant slap in the face.  It’s that event that was so devastating, that experience that was so difficult, and that relationship that was so heart breaking.  These are the things that the Universe places in our path to wake us up.

At first, it’s really hard to understand these catastrophic things.  But, given some time, something better always seems to emerge.  It’s funny how that happens.  Just when we think all of the pain and suffering was for nothing, something beautiful emerges.  The giant slap on the face from the Universe was really just a wake up call.  A big fat sign that what you are doing is no longer serving your greatest good.

So many times we get comfortable with what we’re doing.  We get so comfortable, we don’t even consider changing or evolving.  Somewhere along the lines we stop raising our standards; we stop striving for the extraordinary.  It’s in those moments of jaded comfort that the Universe swoops in and pushes you off the comfort of the ledge.  The thing is, the Universe probably gave you a million little signs leading up to that.  Signs you scoffed off as insignificant.  That little voice in your head that told you to do something different, that song on the radio that seemed to haunt you whenever you were questioning your life choices.  They are all signs, but it took something much more destructive to wake you up.  That’s when we get the giant slap in the face from the Universe, and usually it wakes us up.

Even if you’ve had those wake up calls from the Universe, it’s never too late to start following the signs it gives you every day.  Not all of them will be comfortable.  Usually they’ll scare the crap out of you.  But it’s following the most subtle tug that tells you to step into something different that will allow your life to evolve in a brilliant way.  All of your manifestations, conscious or unconscious, are being set in motion, and the signs from the Universe are your map.  They might not make sense at first, but if you let them guide you and trust that it’s part of something bigger, you will find yourself waking up to the life of your dreams, and it’s going to be better than you could have ever imagined.

So no, following the signs of the Universe isn’t always sunshine and rainbows, but it might just lead you to a pot of gold if you’re willing to trust it.  Next time you get a crazy idea to do something out of the box or random, just follow it.  You’re pot of gold is waiting for you somewhere down the line.
